About the World Trade Center Tampa
What is World Trade Center Tampa Bay?
The World Trade Center Tampa Bay brings together the skills and wisdom of our membership, public and private sector partners and our global network of World Trade Centers to provide comprehensive international exchange services and valuable global contacts to facilitate and amplify trade throughout the eight counties of Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota. We are a non-profit international business organization licensed in 1991 by the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) in New York.
World Trade Center Association History
The World Trade Center (WTC) is an apolitical organization that holds the World Trade Center license for a particular economic region in any country. World Trade Centers provide a network of reciprocal services and supply businesses with access to international trade services and facilities. They seek to simplify and stimulate trade by bringing together the offices of government and business that serve and carry on trade. Although WTCs vary from country to country, they are all connected as a part of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA). The WTCA has 330 members, like the World Trade Center Tampa Bay, in more than 90 countries representing more than 1 million businesses looking to connect globally and prosper locally.
World Trade Center Tampa Bay, a 501(c)3 non-profit, has a proven record of assisting companies to export their products and services, to import in accordance with increasingly complex government rules and regulations, and to expand their business in the international marketplace.
The mission of the World Trade Center Tampa Bay has evolved around three prominent service areas:
1. Education: Bringing knowledge to the community through lecture series, speaker bureaus and trade missions.
2. Communication: Sharing valuable international resources, trade information and updates, and facilitating communication among international groups.
3. Collaboration: Connecting membership with global contacts to facilitate and amplify trade and international business.
