The Agri Food Expo Mexico kicked off with a warm welcome from World Trade Center Tampa Bay Executive Director, Karl Kaliebe before heading out for a facilities tour of the Port Tampa Bay with port officials. More than 40 vendors were invited to take part in the expo, by the Mexican Consulate and World Trade Center. After the expo, a reception was held for the participants and dignitaries from Mexico including Acapulco Mayor, Abelina López Rodríguez.
The timing for the expo was in conjunction with the International Fresh Produce Association Global Produce & Floral Show, which was held in Orlando this year.
