Dear Members,

We are pleased to announce the launch of the 3rd edition of the annual World Trade Centers Association Foundation (WTCAF) "Peace Through Trade" Student Competition. This year we are greatly expanding our outreach and inclusiveness, and opened the competition to students and student teams all around the world to compete in the program and become champions of global trade.

Some exciting new elements of this year’s competition:

  • We are proud to collaborate with the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), reaching out to students through the UNAI’s vibrant and diverse network

  • There is no participation fee for student teams to enter the competition

  • We are introducing new pandemic-proof prizes, with the winning team to be awarded:

  • A cash prize of USD $3,000

  • An opportunity to participate in the WTCA’s virtual 2022 General Assembly

  • An opportunity to present their idea virtually to a global audience and be honored by attendees during the event

  • A special feature in a future episode of the global WTCA “Trade Wins” Podcast, where they will be interviewed by WTCA Executive Director-Business Development Robin van Puyenbroeck

  • A certificate of recognition by the WTCAF Board

  • The first runner-up team will be awarded:

  • A cash prize of USD $1,500

  • A certificate of recognition by the WTCAF Board

As an active Participant of the UN Global Compact, the WTCA is -- through its work with the WTCAF -- very much focusing on identifying and inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders to address the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

On behalf of the WTCAF, I would like to thank all our Members for their incredible support, and we look forward to incredible participation in the 2021-2022 competition.
